Hexblade glitch (1.42c)

I've been experiencing a non-gamebreaking glitch levelling up a Hexblade. Often after I'm done selecting skills & feats and click on the finish levelup button, the levelup won't "take", so to speak. I've not actually gained the level, or skills & feats I've selected.
If I then try again to level up I get the deity selection menu in addition to the regular levelup stuff. This second time the levelup does work properly.

Also I haven't yet had the time to reproduce this properly, but I've noticed that the Dark Companion can be dispelled.

It's a new base class that has an alignment restriction so it's possible it's confusing the engine on what deity is allowed. I've never seen that in all the times I've gone 1-30 but I generally pick none for testing this I think. Or the first one, I can't remember.

I just reproduced the glith with no deity, lawfull neutral.

What level was it that glitched?

It happens randomly. First character I tried it with the first time it popped up was at level 8, the second character at level 4.
