Crafting bug in Storm of Zehir; anyone know anything about this?

I have Kaedrin's PrC Pack installed, and have just run into a nasty bug in Storm of Zehir: Crafting doesn't work. Period. I have what I need to craft what I try to craft, I know how I'm supposed to do it, I do it (go up to the forge and click on the schematic), the dialogue box says "[Party leader] uses item's special power," my character makes a motion...and that's it. Nothing gets made. Does anyone know what's wrong?

If it indicates anything, I did remove one thing from Kaedrin's Pack, namely the "SoZ" folder, because it was destroying my ability to enter most areas from the overland map.
