Monk 16 bypass CI/AS

I know this was set to possible content, just wondering if it was ever pushed in a changeset and available for download?

Also, Kaedrin thanks a ton for fixing Monk gloves from slashing to bludgeoning, really appreciate it!

That's a personal note to myself to check how it actually behaves. There is nothing I can do to change how it works.

Been looking into some of the files..its not possible to apply a type (Cold Iron, etc) to gloves is there? I could be wrong..

I seriously doubt it would work without adding entirely new rows in the baseitems for the new materials/items. Even then I wouldn't expect the combat engine to actually LOOK at the material of gloves when doing unarmed combat. I'll likely try it but it's very low priority and I wouldn't hold my breath hoping for any results.

Fair enough, appreciate the feedback. lol, its a bit comical though..monks are known for bypassing DR, but on BG its the only class that can't hit through the DR of the balor. Guess I'll avoid that one Wink

I would *really* not hold my breath since even if I did find a fix that I doubt BG would use it.

Already spoken to luna about it, he seemed pretty open to it. I'm a developer too, and I understand you can't cater to everyone. Just wanted to inquire to see if it was in place or something you were possibly going to work / working on. I can't ask you to go out on a limb just for me, after everything you've already done. Wink

Just brainstorming again through this.. Since the "adamantine" fists are a lvl 16 feat..would it be possible to copy that feat and make an additional feat to allow for that damage type? I know the progression you get magical, adamantine...then maybe lvl 21 monks can get Cold iron/Alchemical silver?

No. Monks are buried in the engine and can't be touched.



I tested materials for gauntlets and it didn't work.
