Warlock Eldritch Glaive question Empty Warlock Eldritch Glaive question

  • Eldritch Glaive now has the updated touch attack code that normal blasts have (reducing AB when holding a weapon).

What does that exactly mean?

Does it literally mean that whenever I hold a weapon in my hand at all times, my AB for Touch Attacks are permanently reduced? (I hope that's not the case, since I heavily RP it with a Staff or Halberd, and it turns into the Glaive because the staff/Halberd is my medium for conjuring up the Glaive). Does this apply to wearing a Weapon&Shield as well?

Would holding a weapon such as a Halberd, Spear or Staff, on top of having Weapon Finesse, still add the AB to Melee Touch Attack bonus? (For having a high Dexterity and using Weapon Finesse)
This wouldn't cause any issue with the game code would it? it's kinda hard to tell when there isn't a "Touch Attack Bonus" display other than the BAB.

Have a video of rabbits, for taking your time to read and hopefully answer the question!

Okay so I managed to find a builder mod and got to testing myself.

So weapons DO remove AB from Eldritch Glaive afterall... don't see the point of it, why is this in place? I can only guess it's either some DM complaint or something with the code.
But wearing a melee weapon while using any other blast doesn't seem to get this negative penalty at all, so what gives?

Anyway, I tried to use Weapon Finesse, but how does the AB for it work with Melee Touch Attacks? the AB for RangedTA is properly displayed at 33 (+1 from Flee the Scene), but why does the MeleeTA start at 26? Shouldn't it be at least 30? I even made the build on NWN2DB to see if Weapon Finesse added to the Melee Touch Attack, and sure enough it displayed it equally at 30/30 range/melee.

Character is completely naked, and no Expertise or any such mode is active at all.

Oh, and Flee the Scene doesn't grant the extra attack per round like a Haste spell or Haste effect does.
