Druid Wildshape AC Calculations
Hi Kaedrin,
A long while back on the old forums I asked how the new druid wildshape AC calculations were done. I've had a hankering to do a pure druid, but I wanted to know how the AC is calculated now so I could make some intelligent build decisions.
Thanks,
Matt

I've had little free time lately but I'll try to document this for you. You should read the update page in the mean time for the basics.

Thanks. I did check that page and it really doesn't say much other than that there were changes and that the shield enhancement doesn't transfer.Kaedrin wrote:I've had little free time lately but I'll try to document this for you. You should read the update page in the mean time for the basics.

Re: Druid Wildshape AC Calculations
Armor bonuses will transfer in the following method and is automatically available for all druid shapes:
The enhance bonus on your chest armor or the armor bonus on your bracers transfers as an armor enhance bonus.
The dodge AC bonus on your boots tranfers as a dodge AC bonus.
The enhance bonus on your shield will transfer as a shield enhance bonus.
The deflection AC bonus on your helm, cloak, or ring will transfer as a deflection AC bonus.
The natural AC bonus on your necklace will transfer as a natural AC bonus.
This new system will replace the old system where all bonus were turned into the single highest value being a deflection bonus. You now get to keep all of your gear's bonuses correctly.

Cool! Thanks, Kaedrin, Can't wait to try it out! Basically eliminates the need for the monk dip. I hate playing Lawful Neutral anyway.Kaedrin wrote:Armor bonuses will transfer in the following method and is automatically available for all druid shapes:

Re: Druid Wildshape AC Calculations
I noticed that with Gutteral Invocations, the Word of Changing form is considered a Wildshape (or at least, I saw that effect)
Do they get the same bonuses, or would that be a bug if they did?
