Spirit Shaman + Gloves Empty Spirit Shaman + Gloves

I was wondering if it's intended or a bug from the core game, but currently Spirit Shaman (or in this specific example: Gann) can't equip any gloves. Went thru the baseitems.2da file and you need 1 of the armor feats he is not getting Very Happy (simple, rogue, wizard, martial, druid, monk)
Makes in MotB one of the most awesome gloves practically useless for him or if some1 would ever create a spirit shaman for himself, the class just can't wear the simplest of all gloves, like concentration or whatsoever.

Do you intend to fix it, e.g. removing rogue as they are also getting simple or will it be left alone? (so I need to edit it myself, which I already have done ^^)

[Or you have to waste a feat while leveling up, which is a bit stupid - as Exotic doesn't count as well, which his level package gave him @15]

I've had a Spirit Shaman in NWN2 that could equip gloves just fine. Maybe something specifically with Gann? It would be simple enough to use GiveFeat on him to fix that.

Odd, according the file it shouldn't work, though it's an _old_ campaign I never actually finished and just reloaded the save with the gloves still in my inventory. That's the same reason I never equiped them to begin with. So maybe the savegame itself is kinda messed up (old Kaedrin package, maybe some very old TCC leftover) but it's a clean install with a clean override directory now - only with some older savegames. But according the file, the gloves shouldn't be wearable by a Spirit Shaman, as the "2015 feat requirement entry" is not existent.

Was yours a solo class SS or mixed in other classes?

[switched rogue-req to shaman-req now, so it is working, and all gloves are wearable by 'simple' as well..so it doesn't really matter in this case. Could give him the feat too...so either way...]

It's not about bracers, they are fine..only Gauntlets & Gloves; might revert the changes from the file later and built myself a spirit shaman, cause even Gloves of Concentration weren't working, so in my game the best he got was still the bracers of archery Razz

Yet, as mentioned - it's a save from like a year ago and I actually tried The compl. craftsmen + fix for MotB (dunno why I used it, cause I never got problems with crafting in OC, motb & SoZ) but there are a lot of files similar to Kaedrin.

//reverted the changes to the original file, created a Spirit Shaman with Lore focus and 'gave' him "Thicketfavor" and "Gloves of Appraisal" as well and none of them could he equip..
So I really dunno anymore what the conflict could be besides the missing mentioned weapon proficiency in the baseitems.2da file.

[and its only Kaedrin's package + companion AI 2.2 installed - nothing else]

edit: sadly, I don't have or find my very first motb save-char anymore, even if I backup such things once in a while Razz So I'd have another source to check...was kind of vanilla game with no mods.

I fired up my MotB save and found that there was a set of gauntlets for sale in town called "Sacred Hands." Everyone in my party could use them except Gann. I'm not sure why they aren't monk-specific. They would only be of value to someone with unarmed strike. Maybe there is something to that.

Pretty sure this is a bug with Gann and not the class itself. I had to fix the blueprint for another party member a while back for not having the correct feats as well (the druid I think).

As mentioned, resolved the problem myself by changing the Rogue -> Shaman requirement, so it shouldn't affect neither OC, MOTB/SoZ at all in my games.

Besides that problem, it's a sh*tload of fun to play with your latest package ^^ Nearly finished OC and then I can jump over to my older motb campaign with fixed gloves *yay*
