Base class balance Empty Base class balance

Post  Shin Majin Fri Dec 07, 2012 12:33 pm

Hello all! I'm new to NWN2, and I was wondering how the custom base classes compared to the standard base classes. In particular, I was curious about the Scout. From what I can tell, it seems to have much lower damage output compared to the Rogue due to lower sneak attack progression, but much higher AC. I was wondering if anybody here could provide feedback on how the two classes compare.

Hi and welcome to NWN2!!

About your question, i think that the best answer is: scout is made for combat.

He receives more hp and AC than rogue, as well a few bonus feat.
He also receives freedom of movement on higher level.

A rogue, for other hand, can pick locks, steal and use magic devices.
Im also not sure, but i think that only rogues can "upgrade" their sneak attacks, like making it hurt opponents strengh as well, etc.

So, play a scout if you like to be more like an assassin and survive more in battle, and play as a rogue if you want to help the party more, pick locking locks and using itens that only a specif class could.

I hope that answer your question, and sorry for my english.
