Melee Weapon Mastery? Empty Melee Weapon Mastery?

Which Melee Weapon Mastery feat covers the halberd? Halberds deal both piercing and slashing damage type. Do you need both of the Piercing and Slashing Melee Weapon Mastery feats for it?

The feat description seems to indicate that you would just take one or the other. Getting both won't give you double bonuses. Pick your favorite damage type, I suppose.
