Here is just a general 'what it takes' commentary on the hexblade. This might help with any impatience!
It takes:
112 feats.
80-112 icon selections.
41 spells.
8-9 2DA's to alter (depends on the granularity of the summon)
12 custom scripts/functions to calculate spell DC, caster level, summoning level, stacking/determining spell uses and granting them, stacking curses, stacking auras, handle the new dispel code, auras, mix hexblade into curse song, epic spell DC,
~100 text entries in the dialog.tlk
13-28 blueprints depending on how granular the summon spell is plus the new polymorph shape
1 custom VFX
Plus the hours spent looking it up in the books, typing it all up, testing it, and documenting it on the website(s).
I could probably get it done faster if I did it in tiers (levels 1-10, 11-20, 21-30) but where is the fun in that!

Quick status update: I had hoped to wrap up an alpha release this weekend but I spent today doing hurricane prep work/shopping just in case this week goes badly (first hurricane of the season and it's going to ride up Florida, oh yay).
I have a lot of the infrastructure done, the class can level up correctly and all but it's still mostly non-functional. The scripting is the easiest part though so other than doing the subradials and all the blueprints the hard stuff is done.

Got 85% of the spellbook scripts for the Hex done (two need blueprints, one needs to wait for the blueprints). Down to some stacking code, the curse scripts, the auras, and the blueprints. Then some textwork and a lot of testing.

All that remains is a pass to choose which icons to use for the feats, writing the two aura scripts (and 2da entries needed), and writing a stacking spell use function. I'd say I'm about 96% done with the class. Tomorrow is looking great for a beta release.

ah damn now Im going to have to load it up and give it ago tomorrow then. darn! With all this work going so fast for Hexblade I assume the gui for spells isnt something that is going to happen this time around? Assume just feat casting?

Feat casting because GUI casting isn't going to work well on 70 player servers.

this is a much anticipated class on LoA myself included
while its focus is debuffing/curses i think it will be a very versatile class to mess with and make DC casters more effective
my inital build idea is the uber curse build with bard hexblade and blackguard all working in harmony ( curse song + hexcurses +aura )

Does Dark Companion stack with the Aura of Despair from Blackguard? It should in PNP by RAW (Blackguard is an untyped penalty).
